Most things on this shelf are made for a drawer. This one is not. A real dried Gomphrena globosa flower is cast inside the transparent body, where it stays for good, and the result reads more like a piece of jewellery than like a toy. Every piece holds a different bloom, because no dried plant repeats itself — what arrives at your door is not exactly what you see in the photograph.

One thing about the material needs saying straight away: this is not glass, even though it looks like glass. The body is epoxy resin, described by the manufacturer as one hundred per cent body-safe, lighter than glass and quicker to take on body heat. The surface is completely smooth and even, with no seam and no lip, and the shape is classic and ergonomic: nine centimetres overall, eight of them insertable, three point nine centimetres at the widest point. Sixty grams is just enough to feel the weight without the weight getting in the way. The base is wide and flat, as an anal plug's base must be.

Epoxy resin is non-porous, holds no odour and asks for nothing special — warm water, a soapy hand, dry it off. The plug is waterproof, so the bathroom and the shower are entirely allowed. The manufacturer recommends washing it before first use and always using lubricant; a water-based lubricant is the right choice here and works perfectly with epoxy resin.

Use: wash with warm water and soap before the first time. Always use lubricant — water-based suits epoxy resin best. Go in slowly and do not force it; the widest point is almost four centimetres, so haste earns you nothing. Wash again afterwards and dry.

This is an anal plug for someone who cares how the object looks as well as how it feels. Anyone after vibration or electronics should look elsewhere — there is not a single button here.
